This Is Love - EP

Last spring, I decided to run a crowdfunding campaign on a platform called “RocketFuel” for an upcoming music project. Although I did not quite reach the goal I had hoped to reach, I raised over $3,000 for the project, which is a big chunk of the cost. With that out of the way, I set about recording, with plants to release in the fall.

However, things don’t always go according to plan. Part of it was my own time management, part of it was I underestimated how busy I would be with work, and part of it was trying to enjoy the short Canadian summer. Regardless, I fell behind, and eventually production slowed way down.

In October, I decided to release my Christmas single, “A Shepherd’s Tale.” That was a reviving experience, and really drove me to start working on the EP again. Since then, I have revisited the writing stages on some songs, completely replaced others, and worked hard to create a EP that I can be proud to share with the world.

Featuring some of my favourite, and most personal music, “This Is Love” tells the story of my walk with Christ, from a willful disobedience, to the edge of hopelessness, and back into His arms.

Although it’s taken a lot longer than I had anticipated, I am nearing the closing stretch on this project, and I’m so excited to share it with the world!
